PPE Colorado started when Jayson Williams, CEO of Modern Suppliers, a Mayson-Dixon company, contacted Morrison Holdings in April to establish a much needed supply chain resource. Modern Suppliers was a construction materials supply company based in Maryland prior to COVID-19. During the crisis Jayson and his team realized they were able to source PPE from within their current supply chain. Modern Suppliers quickly pivoted to begin sourcing PPE inventory from face masks and face shields, to protective gowns, sanitizer and no-touch infrared thermometers. As Modern Suppliers are able to distribute PPE across the country, together, Morrison Holdings and Modern Suppliers are pleased to provide a new supply resource to confront COVID-19 for Colorado.
How did it start? Jayson’s network, friends and family began to inquire if they could order PPE for their businesses and themselves, so Modern Suppliers launched a retail PPE site available to anyone. The program is simple, use the code ‘PPE Colorado’ at checkout to receive a 10% discount on PPE orders. Many small businesses have utilized this resource to keep their staff and customers healthy and safe. In turn, Modern Suppliers tracks the sales in Colorado to be able to donate items to local nonprofits providing critical services during the COVID response. Modern Suppliers made their first donation in Colorado providing 4,000 3-ply masks to Food Bank of the Rockies.
Morrison Holdings and Modern Suppliers hope this is the start of many more donations here in CO as long as there is a need.
